September & October Wrap Up

Books I Read During September and October 2022

Life got busy and I didn’t read too much, here’s what I read during the past two months. I did make some progress on my Fall TBR, check out my thoughts below.

Belladonna by Adalyn Grace - 4 stars

I loved Belladonna! I could not put it down. Death was truly swoon worthy. The mystery in Belladonna kept me on the edge of my seat. I definitely did not guess who the culprit was. Definitely one of my favorites of the year. Book two cannot come soon enough.

Spells for Lost Things by Jenna Evans Welch - 4 stars

Spells for Lost Things was a part of a blog tour I participated in during September. As a big fan of Jenna Evans Welch, this was such a cute, spooky read. It got me in the spooky spirit. I loved both of our characters and the switch in POVs. The pacing made this one a quick read and it was the perfect length. Check out my full review

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna - 4 stars

This romcom stole my heart! It’s a found family romance about witches and I loved every moment of it! The highlight was definitely the characters. I connected with each and every one. The only reason why I docked a star was the unnecessary plot twist at the end. It really came out of nowhere and just didn’t fit the book. Other than that, this is one of my top books of 2022.

The Luminaries by Susan Dennard - 3 stars

I wanted to like this one more but ultimately felt like it needed to be longer. There were too many unanswered plot points by the end of the book to be satisfied. I’m intrigued by the world so I’ll continue the series, but I wanted a lot more from this one. Check out my full review of The Luminaries.

I’m still trying to work my way through the Fall TBR, but I own two copies of The Atlas Paradox and cannot wait to read it. Do you have multiple copies of books? I keep getting a few normal editions and have special editions on preorder so it’s rough.
