Top Twelve: Authors

Top Twelve: Authors

To start off an amazing week with a BANG! (it'll end with a Blogaversary) here is a list of my favorite authors. There's twelve because I'm different :)

  1. Jennifer L. Armentrout- If you didn’t know that she is my favorite author, why are you even on my blog lol I only mention it every chance I get.
  2. Michael Grant- He wrote a series called GONE that I was absolutely obsessed with. Those are the only books by him that I’ve read, but I’ll probably read more once I get my library card renewed.

  1. Rick Riordan- He was higher on my list until I read his last book. THE BLOOD OF OLYMPUS is actually what my ending rant was about if you didn’t know. I still love him as an author, and if you don't lol
  2. Veronica Roth- She is the author of the DIVERGENT series which I read before they became popular. I love the books and movies and just her as an author.
  3. Caragh M. O’brien- She is an absolutely fabulous author. I’ve read a lot of her books, and it all started with me reading BIRTHMARKED. I bought it at the bookfair and have loved that decision ever since.
  4. Kiera Cass- I believe she wrote the SELECTION series. I actually found out about this series on Google Books. I think I mentioned that in the review for the ONE. But she is another good Dystopian type author.
  5. Ally Condie- She wrote the MATCHED series. I, also, read the, before they became popular. Actually, I never read the last book in the trilogy. I remember checking it out, and I might have read like one or two chapters, but I never finished it.
  6. Kendare Blake- She is the author of ANTIGODESS which is the only book I’ve read by her. It was an amazing, modern twist on Greek mythology. I really enjoyed it, and I think I might read it again.
  7. Tyra Banks- I know what you’re thinking, but read MODELLAND. It is amazing, and I’ve read it multiple times. It’s really long, and it’s different from anything else I’ve read. Honestly, it’s one of my go to books when I feel bad about myself. It taught me that it’s okay to be different. And that’s a good message for anyone.
  8. Sara Grant- She is the author of DARK PARTIES. This book is what actually introduced me to ARCs because I won it at the library and it had ARC printed on it. I decided to do a Google search to see what an ARC was, and I’ve wanted them ever since. I’ve read this book a million times because I’ve had it forever. I guess you could call it my first ARC.
  9. Catherine Stine- She wrote DORIANNA which I read for a book tour. It was an okay book, but I loved the author. She, unlike most authors, took it upon herself to stop by my blog, not once but three times, when it was my turn to post a review. That really meant a lot me. She took time out of her day to comment on my post which showed me that she actually read what I have to say.
  10. Ann Haywood Leal- She wrote ALSO KNOWN AS HARPER. I’ve read this book so many times, my copy is worn down. The crease down the spine is tearing away, and I’m sad because I’ve took such great care of it, it’s just been read too many times. This is the only book I’ve read by her, but I love it.

If you can’t tell, I’m a big sci-fi/dystopian fan. Those are basically the only books I read. I also really like books about mythology because they interest me. The only author that doesn’t write Dystopian is Ann Haywood Leal which actually says a lot about me. I don’t really like regular fiction, most of it is incredibly boring. I like the sci-fi thrillers about different worlds and heroes.
