#BLOGHOP: Catch Me When I Fall

Today, I'm taking part in Vicki Leigh's "My Worst Nightmare" blog hop which is celebrating the recent release of her young-adult, paranormal-romance/urban fantasy novel, Catch Me When I Fall.

Rules:

On November 3, 2014, post about your worst nightmare, and what form the clawed, red-eyed creatures would take if they fed off your fears.

Visit the other participants of the blog hop and comment on their worst nightmares.

At the end of the blog tour, on November 14, 2014, Vicki Leigh will pick one of the participants at random and award them with a prize.

About Catch Me When I Fall:

Recruited at his death to be a Protector of the Night, seventeen-year-old Daniel Graham has spent two-hundred years fighting Nightmares and guarding humans from the clawed, red-eyed creatures that feed off people’s fears. Each night, he risks his eternal life, having given up his chance at an afterlife when he chose to become a Protector. That doesn’t stop a burnt-out Daniel from risking daring maneuvers during each battle. He’s become one of the best, but he wants nothing more than to stop.

Then he’s given an assignment to watch over sixteen-year-old Kayla Bartlett, a clinically depressed patient in a psychiatric ward. Nightmares love a human with a tortured past. Yet, when they take a deep interest in her, appearing in unprecedented numbers, the job becomes more dangerous than any Daniel’s ever experienced. He fights ruthlessly to keep the Nightmares from overwhelming his team and Kayla. Soon, Daniel finds himself watching over Kayla during the day, drawn to why she’s different, and what it is about her that attracts the Nightmares. And him.

A vicious attack on Kayla forces Daniel to break the first Law and reveal his identity. Driven by his growing feelings for her, he whisks her away to Rome where others like him can keep her safe. Under their roof, the Protectors discover what Kayla is and why someone who can manipulate Nightmares has her in his sights. But before they can make a move, the Protectors are betrayed and Kayla is kidnapped. Daniel will stop at nothing to save her. Even if it means giving up his immortality.

MY WORST NIGHTMARE (Not really)

This isn't really my worst nightmare, but it is a pretty scary one I've had.

BACKGROUND (to make the dream easier to understand): I used to live on a farm about three years ago that was surrounded by woods, but th. I was never scared of the woods because my family and I were always out on them. I live in Indiana, USA. I was about eight or nine in the dream.

I had this dream about one day my family and I were out in the woods. It was about five o'clock and such. The trees are super tall and tower over us, but I don't think anything of it. All of a sudden, I hear a loud whistle and everyone in my family runs back to the car besides me. I'm stuck on a log (I have no idea why).

So I'm stranded in the middle of the woods without abyone else. I wasn't scared because I thought this was an adventure. Then, all of a sudden I hear a loud roar and a bunch of bears start running at me. Honestly, I don't know why. We don't even have bears in Indiana. And so I was running from very large bears. I haven't even seen a bear before except for in the zoo. It was all very messed up.

So that is one of my worst nightmares. I'm not very good at putting my dreams into words.

  1. I think being in the woods on your own, even without the bears there, is pretty scary... but, yeah, the bears chasing you would be *really* scary.

    1. Yup! It actually really was. And I was young in the dream so *extra* scary *with cherries on top*.

      Thanks for stopping by!!

  2. I agree with Sarah. At that age, all alone in the woods would be scary enough. I think it's cool you thought of it as an adventure. At least until the bears....

    1. It would have been a fun adventure if the bears weren't there. But it would have been a bit scary. Maybe trying that now (without the bears) might be kind of fun.
