18 Truths is the second book in a trilogy by Jamie Ayres. It is a story about death, god, choices,  and staying true to those you love. This was an amazing book. I absolutely loved it, and I need the read the first and last stories.


This is a story about a teenage girl named Olga, who died. She had a best friend named Connor who died before her. And her boyfriend is Nate, whom she met in Limbo. Limbo is a place where you go after you die, before you find out you’re dead. You stay in Limbo until the angels decide you can handle being dead. It is actually a really creative concept.


Olga and Nate become spirit guides that help the dead in Limbo, without telling them they are actually dead. Their first assignment in a girl named Grace. You’re going to want to keep an eye on Grace throughout the story because she is not who you think she is.


So Olga and Nate are helping Grace. Nate spends a lot, and I mean a lot, of time with Grace. And Olga gets jealous. So she gets involved with a demon, so she could find her best friend Connor.


First off, I need to discuss her name. Olga Gay Worontzoff, what an unfortunate name in the twenty-first century. It was creative, but wow… I would probably change my name.


I really liked that Olga, Conner, and Nate were dorks. I love stories when the mains are dorky. But throughout the story, they’d quote Star Wars. And with me being a super geek, I would squeal and automatically know the reference. So points for that.


One thing that I found odd was that some of the chapters had a quote before them, but others didn’t. It was like the author couldn’t find enough quotes or they forgot to find quotes. It wasn’t consistent.

Overall, this was a great book. The front cover was very interesting. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover, but I normally do. And I wanted to read this book based on its interesting cover, so I’m glad I do. I recommend this book to everyone. It gives a different look on (after) life. I really loved it, and I hope you do to. Also, may the force be with you as you enjoy this book.
