Round 2: #ZoellaBookClub

Round 2: #ZoellaBookClub

Honestly, I did not think Round 2 of the Zoella Book Club would happen as quickly as it did. (I mean, the first one just ended.) But I'm not complaining, I'm interested to see what new books Zoe has picked out for us to read. At first look, there seems to be a lot more variety in these books. There are a few thrillers and a few contemporaries. (I kind of wish she would add some fantasy books but maybe next time!)

I will definitely be participating again. I haven't read any of these books so I'm super excited to see what they are all about. I have heard of a few, and have had my eye on at least one for a while.

So let me introduce you to the eight books dear Zoe has chosen for us to read. Of course, you can always see what is happening with the book club and all of the special content at WHSmith Blog.

I Was Here by Gayle Forman

Synopsis: Cody and Meg were inseparable.
Two peas in a pod.
Until . . . they weren’t anymore.

When her best friend Meg drinks a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything—so how was there no warning? But when Cody travels to Meg’s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there’s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, who broke Meg’s heart. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can’t open—until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend’s death gets thrown into question.

I Was Here is Gayle Forman at her finest, a taut, emotional, and ultimately redemptive story about redefining the meaning of family and finding a way to move forward even in the face of unspeakable loss.

They seem interesting, don't they? Personally, I'm looking forward to Frozen Charlotte, which looks so creepy I cannot wait, and I Was Here. I'm not really sure about The One We Fell In Love With, as it doesn't seem to suite my tastes, but who knows, I might love it!

Which books are you excited to read most?
