Synopsis: In this heartwarming debut by HelloGiggles blogger Kerry Winfrey, a young agoraphobe begins a journey of first love that leads her to the true meaning of home—just by taking one small step outside of her house.I received this book for free from the Trendsetters in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
My name is Mallory Sullivan.
My therapist says I have an anxiety disorder.
My brother says I’m an “optimistic recluse.”
Everybody else says I'm a freak.
And they kind of have a point, because I haven't left the house in 67 days and only attend class via the webcam on my laptop. The person I talk to the most other than my mom and brother is the completely obnoxious BeamMeUp, and all we do is argue on New Mexico’s premiere alien message board.
But after yesterday, I have something: a chance. If I can win the homecoming crown by convincing resident hot popular guy and Friday Night Lights spawn Brad Kirkpatrick to go as my date, then maybe #stayathome will never appear next to the name @Mallory_Sullivan ever again.
First, I have to leave my room.
Cover: The cover is absolutely adorable. I think the little rocket doodle is so cute!
Characters: I loved each and every one of the characters. I could just imagine them living their lives.
Plot: Anything that contains aliens is pretty much awesome in my book. Aliens are real. I really liked how Winfrey tied aliens, bird watching, physics and homecoming into a novel. It’s very creative and unique.
Ending: Can I just say that I so called it? A few pages in, I stopped and used my telekinetic powers to foreshadow the ending. I so knew it!
Overall: Love and Other Alien Experiences was such a cute, little fluffy novel. I think I read that it was what we in the book world call contemporary romance or was it something else? It was just adorable and it kept a smile on my face. Love and Other Alien Experiences was a nice, easy read. It was light-hearted and so very humorous. It had me laughing out loud at some points!

Fun Stuff
Alien Hunter or Homecoming Queen?
Alien Hunter obviously. It would be pretty epic if I was an alien hunter just imagine my ninja skills. I love aliens, so what would be better than hunting them? Also, an Alien Hunter just sounds way more awesome than Homecoming Queen. There's no question about it.
Fav Quote?
"It’s not even noon and I’ve already been called a perv by one relative and almost completely ignored by the other." -pg 50
