Review: An Abundance of Katherines
Title: An Abundance of Katherines
Author: John Green
Publisher: Dutton Books for Young Readers
Publish Date: September 21, 2006
Cover: I really like how the title is in math characters and such. I feel as if that really suits the book, and it looks really cool. I don’t really like the silhouettes of the girls because like none of them are wearing pants. I thought it was funny when I noticed that.
Characters:
Connor- Conner is great. He reminds me a lot of myself, he’s just more awkward. Also, I’m able to tell stories. I thought he was a great main character. I found him very amusing and interesting. He was very smart and half of the time I hardly understood him. I really liked him.
Hassan- I have mixed feelings about Hassan. He confused me at times, but then I found out what was really bothering him. I feel as if he’s almost the same as Colin, just less awkward. Though it confuses me how Colin had 19 girlfriends, and Hassan hadn’t had one. Maybe they are both the same amount of awkward, just in different aspects.
Lindsey- I liked how she was nice to Colin and Hassan. She was very bold and outgoing. I liked her as a character. When you have Lindsey, Colin, and Hassan together, you get a really great book. They are quite the interesting bunch.
Plot: I loved this book. It was uniquely unique, if that makes sense. It was witty, cheesy, and just great.
